Responsible to: Funding and Development Coordinator Responsible for: no line management responsibilities Liases with: all other departments Status: Associate member of CAT’s co-operative management system Scope: As part of the Funding and Development department, to assist the team to raise funds and develop opportunities for CAT. F&D Responsibilities To take responsibility as requested for aspects of the department’s role of devising, developing and implementing strategies to raise funds and developmental opportunities for CAT through the following areas. - Assisting with all aspects of individual trusts and foundations work including research, initial approaches, applications, follow-up and analysis.
- Assisting with all aspects of individual corporate support work including researching company backgrounds, approaching companies, preparing and aiding with presentations, dealing with responses.
- Assisting with all aspects of direct marketing to trusts and corporates including creating promotional materials, selecting appropriate targets, organising mailouts, dealing with all aspects of responses to mailings and analysing results.
- Assisting with all aspects of affinities work including researching relevant organisations, organising and implementing approach strategies, preparing and aiding with presentations, dealing with responses.
- Keeping databases and file records up to date and assisting with the analysis of promotional activities.
- Assisting with all aspects of payroll giving including identifying potential organisations, producing promotional materials, making presentation and analysing results.
- Behaving and presenting yourself appropriately as a CAT representative.
- Playing a full part in the administration of the department including handling money and adhering to policies.
- Assisting with the organisation and hosting of fundraising events.
- Undertaking research into funding or developmental opportunities.
- Networking with relevant outside organisations.
- Working with consultants.
- Assisting with any new areas of fundraising that may develop.
Co-operative Responsibilities - To attend staff and other meetings as required and assist other F&D colleagues in their cooperative management duties.
- To undertake cooperative rota duties.
- To comply with health and safety requirements.
- To undertake any other duties as requested by the elected Management Group, Overview.
