WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive. Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’re also committed to safeguarding the natural world through tackling the global threat of climate change. And by helping people to change the way they live, to ease pressure on natural resources.

Our rivers and streams not only support our lifestyles, supplying our fresh water, but they also support a thriving biodiversity of plants and wildlife. But only a quarter are currently in good ecological health.

In response, WWF’s UK Freshwater Programme focuses on supporting the development of stronger public policy – with the EU Water Framework Directive at its heart - and private sector water stewardship, working with water companies, retailers and others to protect and restore freshwater habitats. The post holder will support delivery of policy objectives and manage key exemplar projects. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to help engage the water sector, government and others. The post holder will also work with local river groups to help underpin policy work.
