The Forestry Specialist will provide support and direction to TREES activities aimed at improving community forestry operations in Nicaragua, with a focus on the North Atlantic Autonomous Region (RAAN in Spanish). S/he will be responsible for designing and implementing direct technical assistance and trainings with the objective of building local capacities for sustainable forest management and operations. The Forestry Specialist will support the Coordinator to standardize approaches, develop and adapt sustainable forest management support tools and promote best practices in forest operations. In coordination with TREES staff and the Development division, s/he will also be involved in fundraising activities as requested.
