Based in one of our purchasing offices in Europe or Asia you will work in close cooperation with our suppliers to increase timber sourcing from certified suppliers and responsibly managed forests. You will take a leading role in the local management and will, as member of the global Forestry network, participate in development of strategies and action plans for our future work.
You will also represent IKEA in the forest projects we are running together with external organizations and maintain good relations with local environmental organizations and authorities.
You have a solid forestry education and some years of experience in a working environment where you have showed results. You combine business sense with the conviction that sustainable forestry is a prerequisite for sustainable business success. Working strategically, with a long term perspective in an environment where you can influence people´s approach and actions, comes naturally to you. Knowledge of local languages is an advantage but not a must. You are attracted by the opportunity to grow your career into other roles in IKEA after some years as Forestry Manager in Russia, Poland, Southeast Europe or Asia.
