Qualification, Experience and Attributes:

  • Graduation and post graduation degree must in Forestry Science / Forest Management
  • Experience in the Forestry Sector
  • Working Knowledge of GIS in Forestry sector
  • Knowledge of biodiversity assessment
  • Knowledge of reporting methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of the science of forestry, including forest growth, protection and management, forest products, species identification, and forest ecology
  • Knowledge of the methods of surveying, mapping, and estimating forest lands
  • Ability to perform technical forestry and biodiversity studies and to prepare technical reports
  • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and conduct correspondence related to the work
  • Good reporting and computing skills

Key responsibility

  • Serves as a technical consultant and liaison with Clients
  • Conducts special projects, studies, Forest survey etc
  • Project Proposal Development, budget preparation, Concept Note development, generation and ability to analyze Forest maps (GIS) and sampling procedures in the field as a basis for Forest management programs
  • Coordinates, organizes, analyzes, and disseminates Forest statistics
  • Maintains records, and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work
  • Performs Forest related work as assigned. Preparation of feasibility reports, development plans, and inventory as assigned
  • Participate in presentations at seminars and conferences to promote the company’s services
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients
