Food for Life Scotland aims to transform food culture in communities throughout Scotland through supporting the production and enjoyment of good food that is healthy, sustainable and accessible to all.

Soil Association Scotland has a fantastic opportunity to scale-up the Food for Life Catering Mark as a proven and effective approach for increasing the sustainable procurement of food in both the public and private sectors.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Co-ordinator to support caterers to achieve of the Food for Life Catering Mark, working closely with three pilot sites in NHS Lothian, University of Edinburgh and City of Edinburgh Council.

You will provide assistance with identifying and sourcing local, seasonal, Freedom Food and organic menu replacements, and support changes in processes and operations that contribute towards the achievement of the mark. You will assist with brokering new business relationships between suppliers and producers and work with relevant stakeholders to overcome supply chain issues.

You will support the transfer of knowledge and experience across the procurement, catering and communications operations of the three institutions and beyond to showcase best practice to other potential and current Food for Life Catering Mark holders.

The successful candidate will have experience of project management, public sector food procurement, and supply chain development. You will be an excellent relationship builder, with strong communication and organisational skills.
