Food for Life Partnership Commissioning Manager - North East

Closing date: Monday, June 16, 2014
Contract type: Up to 30 hours per week, fixed term until 31 March 2015
Salary: £33,598 pro rata
Location: Home based, with regular travel across the North East of England

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to negotiate and secure commissions for the Food for Life Partnership programme in the North East of England and ensure their effective delivery.

Knowledgeable about the demographics of the North East of England, you will have experience of working with and influencing senior members of staff in local authorities and public health bodies, and experience of securing a commissionable service within this environment would be a real advantage.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be a self-starter with exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills. You will have substantial experience of business and relationship development and a flair for pitching compelling business cases to senior members of staff. You will be knowledgeable about the impacts of food on health, education and sustainability and have empathy with the aims and objectives of the Food for Life Partnership.
