Description
The role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with ambition to support the delivery of several key Flood and Coastal Risk Management schemes. The delivery of these projects is essential for the Environment Agency to meet its government targets and ensure enhanced flood protection to peoples’ homes. The schemes include; Kings Lynn and general recondition programme of our assets.

You’ll provide specialist advice and knowledge to shape, inform and ensure delivery of these projects. You’ll support partner and community engagement, to ensure that the projects are delivered on time and to budget, and deliver sustainable Flood Risk Management solutions. 

The team

You’ll support a Senior Advisor, within the Flood Risk Management function of the Environment Agency. You’ll work with teams and suppliers to provide a seamless service to our customers.

Experience/skills required

We are looking for a technically capable individual, with excellent communication skills, who will be qualified to at least degree standard (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. You should have knowledge of flood risk engineering principles, as the role will require you to influence and support delivery of engineering projects. 

We’re seeking a highly motivated individual who has a real desire to work with us to solve flood risk problems but who can also make decisions independently. You’ll need to be able to cope with a high workload.

Additional useful information

The work will require you to visit partners and sites at unscheduled times. As a result a full UK driving licence is essential. 
We operate a flexible system for working, although the post will be full time.
