Description

The Hawaii Marine Program of the Global Marine Division with Conservation International is seeking an ideal candidate to fill the Fisheries Collaboration Manager position. Reporting to the Director of the Hawaii Marine Program, the Fisheries Collaboration Manager will be responsible for developing and managing Hawaii Fish Trust’s collaborative initiatives with fishing communities, scientists, environmental groups and the State of Hawaii to help improve the health of coastal ecosystems and increase the effectiveness of nearshore fisheries management. The position will assist with the development and implementation of a state-wide strategy for Makai Watch, a coastal area monitoring and protection initiative in partnership with the State of Hawaii. S/he will also identify priority funding opportunities that will help  the Hawaii Fish Trust program achieve its vision of healthy nearshore marine ecosystems, abundant fish populations, and local seafood security.
