IAP World Services is seeking individuals for Fisheries Biologist I positions at our NOAA/National Marine Fisheries Services Mississippi Lab located in Pascagoula, MS. This is a temporary position with an estimated end date of Oct 31, 2011.
Responsibilities include supporting expanded stock assessment by participating in surveys conducted aboard NOAA ships, NOAA small boats, Government contracted commercial vessels to collect samples used in evaluating fisheries stocks. Will also support other tasks at the Pascagoula lab when not deployed on offshore surveys.
B.S. degree in Biology or other natural science or at least 3 years’ experience in this field is required. Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, is desired. Cruise experience participating in surveys is a plus.
