Financial Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated qualified accountant to use their financial skills and experience to make a tangible contribution to WWF-UK.

We have over 300 employees and an annual turnover in excess of £55m.  This role will be based in our office in Godalming, Surrey but we will be moving to a new and exciting sustainably built office in Woking in 2013. 

We are looking for a Financial Controller who will manage our financial accounts function and help ensure that we have best practice financial procedures and processes and a highly motivated accounting operations team. 

You’ll report directly to the Head of Finance and be responsible for managing, leading, motivating and developing an existing team in the Treasury and Accounts Payable functions.  To do this you’ll need excellent communication skills with a strong belief in service delivery and people development.

You’ll also have input into improving our accounts payable procedures.  In April 2012 we plan to plan to implement a state of the art purchasing system and you will have an important role in ensuring successful implementation of the system.

As well as this you’ll be responsible for the timely and quality production of statutory accounts and VAT returns as well as managing WWF-UK’s balance sheet.

You’ll need to be a fully qualified account with excellent technical accounting skills and a strong interest in financial reporting and financial management.
