The Financial Analyst will assist in developing standard reporting packages that effectively inform and direct stakeholders on key business indicators. They will work closely with the Database Administrator and/or Reporting Architect to design and standardize reporting queries to ensure they are aligned with business needs. The Financial Analyst should have experience in financial analysis/accounting, preferably in investment banking and also have advanced Excel skills and basic Access skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in developing standard reporting packages that effectively inform and direct stakeholders on key business indicators.
  • Work closely with the Database Administrator and/or Reporting Architect to design and standardize reporting queries to ensure they are aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with the IT team, including Database Administrator, Reporting Architect and/or 3rd party resources to take documented business requirements and objectives and ensure their transformation into Business Intelligence projects, with defined milestones from initiation to completion, and successful delivery.
  • Everyday partner with functional departments assisting with internal reporting and analyses both for internal purposes and for fulfillment of external partner needs and requests.
  • Assist as needed in developing forecasting models, financial packages for presentations, and ad hoc analyses as assigned.
  • Perform research and analyses of the competitive environment geared towards the creation of market planning tools designed to both prioritize new opportunities and define success metrics.

Strong interpersonal skills: can lead cross-functional teams at all levels of the company. Conflict management skills: approaches conflicts as opportunities; understands others quickly; can find common ground without comprising total position. Proficient at assembling presentation documents and presenting internally as needed.
  • Project Management: Strong project management and time management skills. Comfortable and effective at juggling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast paced work environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience. 2+ years of experience in financial analysis/accounting, preferably in investment banking, consulting, Big 4 accounting or Fortune 500 FP&A department.. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Sciences, or a related field required. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Foundational understanding/experience of accounting preferred.
