Through a partnership between the Administration of National Conservation Areas in Mozambique (ANAC) and PPF, applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following positions for the Zinave National Park (an integral part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park).  An initial two-year contract will be awarded to the successful candidates who will be based in Zinave National Park. Project Manager - Zinave National Park The contract could be extended for a further two years. 

Finance Manager - Zinave National Park The contract could be extended for a further two years. The objective of this position is to: Undertake the full financial function of Zinave National Park. The Finance Manager will oversee the Accountant and other admin staff responsible for HR, stores, cashiers.  

Requirements:  • A relevant degree – preferably Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing • 8 years’ experience working in the accounting field • Experience working in the NGO sector and dealing with donor funding will be an advantage • Fully computer literate in MS Office as well as Windows • Knowledge of accounting software will be a prerequisite • Fluency in English and Portuguese.

 

Responsibilities: • Ensure that cashbooks and petty cash is processed and reconciled monthly • Prepare the general ledger to trial balance level • Produce timeous and accurate management reports • Reconcile the balance sheet accounts • Update the fixed asset register • Prepare all electronic transfers and cheque payments • Ensure that all controls are in place, to collect, process and bank all revenue generated by the Park • Perform cashflow forecasts and prepare replenishment requests • Interpret financial information and advice management • Implement internal controls • Ensure the effective management of assets • Ensure that procurement is done according to donor regulations • Ensure the Zinave vehicle fleet is effectively managed and maintained • Oversee HR management in compliance with Mozambican employment regulations, management of salary payments and maintaining records eg leave records, employment contracts, etc.
