The Yukon River Drainage Fisheries Association is a non-profit association of subsistence and commercial salmon fishers on the Yukon River. We work through communication and outreach, scientific research and policy advocacy to ensure wild, healthy salmon fisheries on the Yukon River. Position Summary: YRDFA seeks an organized and detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to manage YRDFA’s finances and human resources in its Anchorage office. The Finance Manager is responsible for internal accounting, financial tracking and reporting, budget development and tracking, administration of human resources, benefits, and other non-profit compliance matters. A college degree is required. This position requires at least three years of financial and administrative experience, knowledge of accounting software including Quickbooks, and experience working with non-profits and federal grants. Key Responsibilities As lead financial officer for the organization, manage all daily financial transactions, bank accounts, and incoming funds; Receives invoices and prepares checks; Carries out financial and grant reporting; Develops monthly and quarterly financial and profit and loss statements; Calculates employee wages and tracks employee leave; With staff and ED, develops, monitors and tracks project and organizational budgets; Serves as contact and manages health insurance policy, disability and life policies, health savings accounts, liability insurance, workers compensation policies and retirement programs; Reviews, maintains and updates employee manual and financial policies and procedures including purchasing policies. Ensures grant compliance including allowable costs; Ensures compliance with wage and hour regulations. Qualifications College degree required; At least three years of financial and administrative experience; Knowledge of and expertise in using accounting software including Quickbooks, payroll systems and Excel and Word software; Experience working with non-profits and federal grants, multiple funding sources and restricted funds preferred; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Detail-oriented with ability to think critically and self-motivated.
