Finance Manager (Full Time)

Public interest environmental law organisation ClientEarth is seeking a qualified accountant to take control of their finance function to cover maternity leave. Based in London, the finance manager will report to the directors and trustees and the role will cover the organisation as a whole, currently including offices in London, Belgium and Warsaw.

About the role

The Finance Manager is responsible for everything from bookkeeping and cash management through to producing management accounts and budgets. You will be the main contact for the statutory audit and will be required to prepare funding applications and report on the use of restricted funds. ClientEarth is about to become VAT registered so you will also need to manage VAT and produce returns. As the organisation grows and becomes involved in new projects and countries, the role will develop further so you need to be flexible and able to handle change well.

About you

You will be educated to at least degree level and will hold a CCAB accountancy qualification with at least three years post qualification experience.

Experience of working within the charitable sector and especially working with restricted funds is essential as is knowledge and experience of working with SAGE. Experience in a small company, taking full and sole responsibility for finances would be useful, as would experience of working with different currencies.
