The position requires a self starting individual who is results motivated and has the ability to work independently with analytical process and management skills to provide exceptional customer service. Primary responsibilities include the support of utility based programs and the promotion of the program's features and benefits. In addition, perform field installations and commissioning of advanced energy management and control systems. The individual will achieve customer support objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews. This position is a direct report to the Field Services Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Install and commission low and line voltage equipment and wiring
- Install and service intelligent thermostats and other load control devices
- Install power line carrier (PLC) devices
- Install electric meters and telecommunication lines
- Provide world class customer services and instructional information
- Identify recurring problems and recommend procedural enhancements
- Actively resolve customer complaints documenting resolution steps and making recommendations for process improvements
- Follow formal compliance policies related to safety and quality assurance
- Accountable for documentation review and acceptance and its relationship to the CustomerCare Center
Requirements:
- HVAC, Controls and /or electrical experience
- Must be professional, courteous, polite and respectful
- Ability to effectively and efficiently complete installations and service of load management devices
- Must be able to fulfill reporting requirements including service reports
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records check
Qualifications:
- Field Technicians should have HVAC, electrical and or automation and controls installation and service experience.
- Master or Journeyman level is highly desirable.
- One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical school and or trade certification is preferred.
