  • A minimum of a three-year degree in the natural sciences or other relevant field;
  • Experience in Natural Resource Management an advantage;
  • Knowledge of alien invasive plant clearing and rehabilitation is desirable;
  • Excellent administrative and HR skills;
  • A sound, working knowledge of general ecology;
  • Excellent research and data collection skills;
  • Experience in environmental education;
  • Good writing skills and a proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programmes;
  • Excellent communication, time management skills and strong people skills with an approachable manner;
  • Proficiency in spoken Zulu is an added advantage;
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple partners and network effectively;
  • Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems software is an added advantage;
  • High degree of self-motivation and pro-activity, good administrative skills and good organisation skills;
  • Possession of a valid South African driver’s license, and suitable driving experience;
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
