A minimum of a three-year degree in the natural sciences or other relevant field;
Experience in Natural Resource Management an advantage;
Knowledge of alien invasive plant clearing and rehabilitation is desirable;
Excellent administrative and HR skills;
A sound, working knowledge of general ecology;
Excellent research and data collection skills;
Experience in environmental education;
Good writing skills and a proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programmes;
Excellent communication, time management skills and strong people skills with an approachable manner;
Proficiency in spoken Zulu is an added advantage;
Ability to collaborate with multiple partners and network effectively;
Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems software is an added advantage;
High degree of self-motivation and pro-activity, good administrative skills and good organisation skills;
Possession of a valid South African driver’s license, and suitable driving experience;
Willingness to travel regularly.
