Background: Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) is looking for a Field Officer/Assistant Field Officer for its Dudhwa Train Hit Project in Uttar Pradesh. The incumbent will be responsible for on site implementation of the project.
Job Responsibilities:

Conduct surveys on ecological and physical aspects of areas along the railway track and surrounding habitats.

Scientific investigation to find factors responsible for train accidents.

Organise meetings, workshops and awareness activities for various stakeholders.

Liaison with various government agencies.

Implementation and monitoring of mitigation measures.

Report writing, day to day documentation of the activities undertaken.
Skills:

Good understanding of human-elephant conflict mitigation techniques.
- Ability to live and work in interior rural areas.

Ability to liaison with various govt agencies, organise people and provide leadership.

Excellent communication skills in local language.
-
Budgeting skills.
- Familiarity of campaign tools.
Qualifications: M.Sc in Biological Sciences (Wildlife/ Forestry/ Zoology/ Botany/ Life Sciences).
Experience: At least 1-2 years' experience in the above-mentioned profile.
