Background:
Wildlife Trust of India is looking to recruit a Field Officer for its Uttarakhand Corridor Securement Project in Ramnagar Uttarakhand.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the local community for securing elephant corridors in Corbett - Ramnagar, landscape.
  • Basic socio-economic, community & cultural analysis of people.
  • Develop appropriate methodology to address various sociological issues concerning wildlife conservation & its monitoring.
  • Report preparation on the socio-economic fabric of the landscape & community analysis.

Skills:

  • Should have experience of working with local communities on various socio-economic factors concerning wildlife conservation in the area.
  • Experience of socio economic survey, monitoring & implementation of activities benefiting community & wildlife.
  • Fluency in Hindi language (preferably Kumaon)

Qualifications:
Post Graduation in social science disciplines such as Sociology, Social work, Rural Management & Anthropology

Preferable experience:
Preferably 1-2 years experience in the field of conservation
