Cardno is seeking a Field Ecologist in our Cincinnati (OH) office, to implement project work in the ecological consulting and restoration management fields requiring ecological surveys, wetland assessments, vegetation monitoring, understanding of Midwest ecological systems both terrestrial and aquatic, characterization of vegetative communities, endangered species surveys and a working knowledge of ecological restoration.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

> Collect field data, data analysis, and report preparation
> Knowledge of or experience with wetland communities anddelineation methodologies
> Knowledge of or experience with vegetation monitoring sampling methodologies
> Knowledge of or experience withaquatic ecology, including ecological survey methodologies in OH, IN and KY>Use of GPS and GIS to map wetland boundaries
> Aerial interpretation
> Soil Identification
> Identify Field Indicators of Hydric Soils
> Able to assist Cardno Project Managers with regulatorycompliance and waterway permitting
> Able and willing to assist ourrestoration and maintenance teams with field work

Minimum Requirements:

> Bachelor's degree or higher inbotany, plant ecology, wetlands
> Ecology, riparian ecology, conservation biology, or related science
> Strong plant identification skills - knowledge of special status plant species of Midwest
> Knowledge and facility withappropriate Midwest botanical references
> Must have field botany skillsand ability to conduct field work, at times for long hours or under strenuous circumstances
> Excellent oral and written
> communication skills
> Strong problem-solution orientation, detail oriented andresourceful
> Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel
> Ability to travel for durations up to two weeks at a time
> Ability to travel to field sites and other Cardno office locations
> Ability to complete field safety requirements and follow Cardno's Zero Harm Safety Program

Desired Qualifications:

> Strong ecology/biologybackground
> 2-4 years of related experience, advanced training certifications, or graduate degree
> Wetland delineation experience
> Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience
> Strong safety awareness and/or prior safety certifications (First Aid, CPR, OSHA 10-HR and/or HAZWPR)
> Positive, flexible, team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
> Effective time management and follow-through, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks/projects and meet project deadlines
> Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fastpaced, team oriented work environment
> Positive and energetic attitude; Self-motivated with strong initiative
> Excellent interpersonal skills
> Strong business/client orientation
