The Field Coordinator will be the primary liaison between the FCCA project clients/communities and the TREES FCCA project and will be responsible for facilitating field implementation of all technical support to clients. S/he will guide the TREES staff’s efforts to ensure the communities implement and benefit from sustainable forest management at the community level and gain increased access to markets for sustainable forest products and carbon. S/he will work with other members of the TREES program to increase community capacity for communication with government authorities, technical service providers, potential investors and the private sector at the local level to ensure full engagement in value-added processing for wood and non-timber forest products and carbon financing initiatives through the Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) mechanism.
