This project is looking for a field assistant for a summer research study on two islands in the Bocas del Toro archipelago. The project will be looking at the role of local and novel colouration in deterring predation of the poison frog Oophaga Pumilio. Study sites will be reached by boat and hiking through forest so the field assistant should be prepared for long days in the field. The project will run from mid-June until the end of August, 2013. Preference will be given to those willing to stay for the whole duration; however, start and end dates are flexible. The application deadline is the 22 March, 2013.
The field assistant will have to cover the cost of accommodation (£9 per day) and boat/ferry rides to study areas. Food is provided for free and part payment for boat/ferry rides is possible.
