The Field Applications Engineer’s goal is to facilitate a positive experience with Solaria. He/she ensures that Solaria’s products out-perform customer expectations and are of the highest quality possible and develops customer loyalty by optimizing the product to the customer’s needs and providing great technical support services.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support for Solaria customers worldwide, ensuring a best in class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to maximize customer value
- Develops and maintains technical understanding of PV solar tracking systems
- Develops and maintains relationships with tracker manufacturers
- Supports customer understanding of tracker technologies through Sales proposal process
- Exhibits strong customer care capabilities and is able to effectively communicate resolutions for customer concerns
- Provides customer field support for installation and operation and maintenance
- Supports Solaria product procurement and logistics
- Establishes and measures key performance indicators for customer care to drive behavior and performance
- Presents the ongoing results to management and to customers
- Plays key role in cross-functional product teams, providing recommendations based on systems integration expertise and customer needs assessments and feedback
- Supports product development, sales, and marketing as requested
- Serves as internal customer voice, an advocate for the customer within Solaria
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in supply chain procurement and logistics
- Understanding of dealing with customer support and O&M issues
- Extensive hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Passion for solar is a plus
