Description

This position requires three to five years of experience in policy advocacy addressing energy, climate change, or transportation issues, as well as a strong interest in transportation infrastructure and land use planning/development policy. Previous experience in transportation issues at the federal or state level and knowledge of climate change policy are preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic approach to both policy and politics, and a desire to have a major impact on federal policy debates through hard-hitting advocacy.  The successful candidate will have the ability to balance and successfully complete a wide range of campaign activities including advocacy, convening/organizing, policy development, and research, as well as the ability to manage staff, oversee consultants, and coordinate media, development, and legislative staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Fundraising experience is preferred.
