The Role

As a fauna spotter catcher for Ecosure you will be required to undertake field-based projects including pre-clearance surveys, aquatic and terrestrial FSC and rescue, nestbox installation and monitoring and reporting. You will be required to work autonomously and as a team. Within this role you use your own initiative and have safety and situational awareness. This role requires determination and a passion to achieve positive environmental outcomes.

Selection criteria: 

  • Minimum 2 years fauna spotter catching experience
  • Confident fauna handling and identification skills
  • Snake handling accreditation
  • Construction industry white card
  • Ability to work autonomously and have situational awareness
  • Strong communication skills and client service orientation
  • Experience working on large scale construction sites
  • First Aid certificate
  • A passion for wildlife and achieving positive environmental outcomes

The following competencies and attributes would be highly regarded:

  • Working at heights permit
  • Chainsaw permits
  • Pre-clearing survey experience
  • Aquatic fauna salvage experience
