Job Purpose
    

The External Reporting Manager is responsible for leading the preparation of all externally distributed financial reports and will support the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller.  This includes the preparation of financial statements and other financial information given to lenders, analysts, and other outside parties.  The Manager will work closely with the members of the corporate accounting and finance teams.    

Principal Responsibilities
    

·         Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes and MD&A for consolidated entity as well as subsidiary stand-alone statements.   This includes compiling all supporting documentation and GAAP disclosure checklists.

·         Assist with audit requests from the external audit team, facilitating timely delivery of requests and resolution of issues as they arise.

·         Preparation and review of analytics at the consolidated and stand-alone reporting levels

·         Perform special projects or other assignments as requested or required.

·         Coordinate the reporting activities with other accounting and operations groups to assure that various reporting deadlines are met.

·         Coordinate all required subsidiary reporting compliance with management, outside advisors, consultants, attorneys, accountants, etc.

·         Train assigned staff, establish annual objectives and supervise and evaluate their work, maintaining appropriate knowledge of their activities and responsibilities.

·         Maintain timely communication with superiors, keeping them informed of all material financial and reporting issues.

 

Qualifications
    

·         The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in external financial reporting.

·         CPA designation is required; Big 4 experience is strongly preferred.

·         Recent experience with preparation of or analysis of various types of SEC filings.

·         We are looking for a strong leader with excellent communication skills who thrives in a high-growth environment.

·         Up to date with current GAAP and SEC pronouncements (including IFRS Convergence, ASC 323 and 810 for equity method investments and consolidations).

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Dependable, consistent and detail oriented.

·         Proficient with MS Office.

·         Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
