ACES is looking for an energetic and visionary leader with the management skills and experience to guide and grow the organization as it refines and increases programming activities and presence across four sites in the Roaring Fork Valley. The ED will report to the board, be in charge of all positions within the organization and work closely with and complement ACES’ Lead Ecologist. Desired traits include: proven fundraising ability, collaborative and partnership building skills, excellent communication and outreach skills, organizational and management talent, an ability to inspire and empower others inside and outside the organization, a love for environmental education and the outdoors, and a respect for ACES’ culture and family atmosphere. Corporate/executive background or relevant management and implementation experience in a growing organization is preferred. The ability and desire to live in a mountain town at 8,000 feet is essential.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience and the desire to lead and grow an organization that can make a difference in the lives of others.
