Our aim is to raise awareness of how the appropriate application of scientific knowledge can help to sustain our global environment - our main target audiences are the general public and the corporate sector.

Earthwatch has a unique strength in the level of hands-on engagement we offer for all people around the globe. We work with a wide range of partners, from individuals who act as conservation volunteers on research teams through to corporate partners, governments and institutions.

We are now looking for an Executive Director, UK & Europe, to optimise the impact Earthwatch UK & Europe can make and to drive positive change.

You will be responsible for leading and developing a well established organisation and for representing Earthwatch UK & Europe to external audiences. These include current and prospective funders, corporate partners, Foundations, the scientific and educational communities, the UK media and governments, the broader public and volunteers.

We are looking not only for an outstanding, ambitious and strategic leader, but for someone who can model and champion our values and inspire our highly motivated and skilled staff. Reporting to the International CEO based in the USA, you will bring a proven track record of income generation through fundraising and corporate sponsorship; substantial experience of business development, senior leadership skills and financial acumen to provide oversight to our broader operations.
