Can you make Greenpeace campaigns more successful? The world’s most effective environmental campaigning organization wants to get even better. Can you help? Greenpeace is setting up a comprehensive system of evaluation and learning for its international campaign-related work. The new position of evaluation manager will work within a team to create this system and implement it throughout the organization. Working with program teams around the world, you will get to see the inside of dynamic campaigns that make real change, and assess their impact. Purpose of the job
1. Lead evaluations of significant international Programme activities (campaign, projects etc).
2.Manage, coordinate and assess evaluations conducted by others. 3. Analyse, coordinate and report on evaluation reports and 4. Develop best practices in evaluation processes and procedures. 5. Train others in evaluation methodologies and provide systematic direction, support and supervision in the implementation of these. Skills required & qualifications: Minimum 5 years senior-level experience in a program and/or evaluation position (or closely related function) working in an organization that contributes to positive social change through campaigns, advocacy or similar Experience working with multiple stakeholders within an international organization or program and in a not-for-profit environment. Able to exert leadership and informal influence to effect positive action from others, often in senior leadership positions. Presentation skills to represent the evaluation program and organization at a senior level, internally and externally. Experience leading evaluations of multi-aspect projects and/or in developing and implementing trainings. Capacity to analyse complex situations, processes, structures, political and business systems and financial data, and to formulate clear, practical recommendations based on this. Education or professional development in a field related to this position – eg evaluation, training/education, continuous quality improvement, project management … Experience in coaching, mentoring and training others and supporting the implementation of an international program. Creative problem solving, consensus building, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills.The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgement. High level of personal organization, and the capacity to develop and maintain information management systems Fluency in spoken and written English is required, and capacity in one or more other modern language is a considerable asset Ability to travel and work outside regular working hours sometimes Commitment to the mission and core values of Greenpeace. |
