An opportunity has arisen in European Supply Chain for a European Environment Manager – reporting to the Director, Health Safety & Environment, Europe. The main purpose of this role is to lead, develop and implement environmental management programs across Kellogg Europe, to ensure compliance with Kellogg standards and government regulations.
Responsibilities In more detail, the job holder is accountable for: 1 Ensure the compliance with appropriate European and Russian Environmental Legislation 2. Interpret current and imminent legislation in order to Lead, develop and implement effective environmental programmes for Kellogg Europe manufacturing facilities, warehouses and commercial offices (including Russia). 3. Work with Kellogg Global Environmental Leadership Team to develop Kellogg Global Environmental standards, and ensure these are consistently applied across Europe 4. Complete environmental reviews at each European and Russian facility. This includes evaluating existing programs, establishing and coordinating new proactive environmental programs. 5. Assist the facilities to develop improvement plans to support the drive for environmental excellence 6. Ensure best practice is shared across Europe and Globally 7. Manage environmental consulting firms to support compliance auditing and developing best environmental practices. 8. Communicate and participate with government agencies in environmental matters. This position must be able to handle crisis situations professionally, unusual time constraints, multiple
and changing priorities, travel extensively in Europe and Russia, work in confined and high places during plant audits, contact and communicate with governmental agencies, company executives and personnel in other Companies, must be able to testify in Legal situations and work flexible hours. |
