Introduction

Our client is looking to appoint an Environmentally focused Graphics/Infrastructure Technician to support a growing team on a wide range of infrastructure and development schemes, including numerous renewable energy projects.

The Job

In order to provide this support, candidates will need to demonstrate particular aptitude and interest in respect of visualisations. Under the guidance of Environmental Consultants, Landscape Architects, Architects and Engineers, candidates will need to produce and develop 3D models of Infrastructure designs using Autodesk software (Autocad/3d Studio/Revit) and superimpose these onto photographs to produce a realistic visualisations of the scheme. In addition, candidates will have experience of or the aptitude to model Zones of Visibility, undertake constraints mapping, and carry out photomerging.

To be considered for a role we are seeking candidates with the following credentials:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Degree/HNC/HND qualification
Particular experience of visualisation production.
3D modelling experience / aptitude - from concept to detail
Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work as part of a team
Ability to use Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and 3d Studio Max Design

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

Broad based experience of working on development and Infrastructure schemes
Familiar with SNH Guidance criteria for windfarms and other relevant visualisation guidance
Knowledge of/ interest in photographic techniques to support visualisation production images
Ability to use Windfarm software
Ability to use GIS

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to more senior team leaders, you will provide technical support into assigned projects ensuring successful delivery for a wide selection of projects across the UK, with an emphasis on delivering Graphics and drawings for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments and other documentation to support the development consent process and public consultation.

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Involved in the application of routine presentational graphics techniques and methods
May use own discretion under supervision
Under some guidance, produce maps/drawings, details and Images using CAD and Image editing software
Quality of service delivery, for all projects and work undertaken.
Taking responsibility for own resource and output and potentially resource allocation of others, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications
Work in collaboration with other disciplines
Providing technical input to projects
Ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which you have responsibility, including reports and drawings to appropriate CAD and GIS standards
Building relationships with other discipline sectors on projects to promote capabilities of the Graphics team
Pro-active and able to work under own initiative without continuous direction
Providing input to project team, leading by example to achieve sector goals and championing quality, innovation.
Assisting and participating in developing yourself and other team members to their full potential
Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Hyder
