Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplinary firm of consulting environmental scientists and engineers with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking an Environmental Technician to join our Casper, Wyoming, office and become an integral member of our team.

Casper is a beautiful small city (population 53,000) located in central Wyoming.

Casper Mountain, located ten minutes from our office, provides opportunities for hunting, camping, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing on public and private lands. Thirty miles west of Casper are two large reservoirs which are an excellent location for water sports of all types. The North Platte River, which runs through Casper, provides some of the best trout fishing in the lower 48 states and is used by canoers and floaters throughout the summer and fall. In addition, at least three major mountain ranges with significant amounts of public land are located within a few hours drive of Casper.

The environmental staff in the Casper office is a small group of geologists and environmental scientists. We are aggressively seeking to grow the environmental services business in this office. Our work includes soil and groundwater investigation and remediation, water development, permitting and spill response work. We have a great team and big plans. We need some help to get the work done. Come join our team and be a part of growing the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of subcontractors,
  • Collection of air, soil and groundwater samples
  • Installation and maintenance of remediation equipment

Experience: 0 – 5 years in the environmental field, drilling or HVAC industry. Willing to train, if necessary.

Skills Requirements:

  • Willingness to work independently
  • Integrity
  • Common sense
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Able to work alone
  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Excel
  • Mechanical ability
  • Basic understanding of motor and pump operation is a plus.
