Supervisor: Project Manager

Description: The Environmental Supervisor will work with the Project Team to deliver the RES Americas Environmental Management System (EMS) on site.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain communications with Project Team to ensure environmental compliance.
2. Perform environmental inspections and follow-up on findings requiring corrective action.
3. Support and promote environmental awareness for all employees.
4. Act as a resource person to support all onsite environmental issues.
5. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for RES Americas, the client and regulatory agencies as requested.
6. Deliver environmental training.
7. Ensure all erosion and sediment controls are in compliance to the SWPPP.
8. Analyze environmental impacts and monitoring data for trends.
9. Compile and maintain environmental inspection records.
10. Keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the project.
11. The ability to perform root cause investigations and implement permanent corrective actions.
12. Ability to perform gap analysis and provide continual improvements to the EMS.
13. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
14. Provide assistance relating to the environmental content of procedures, standards, and specifications while recognizing the benefit of consultation with client, managers or peers to ensure effective implementation.

Requirements:

1. Environmental degree and one to three years of experience in field environmental operations (construction experience is preferred).
2. Experience in ISO 9001 and 14001 management systems preferred.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface with clients, personnel, and governmental agencies.
4. Ability to multi-task and work independently.
5. Skilled in MSOffice, Outlook, & Excel.
6. Ability to travel, living at each location for approximately nine months or more.  Per diems provided.
7. Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
8. Employee must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess an appropriate valid driver's license, possess personal auto insurance coverage, and have an acceptable driving record.
