My client, a leading engineering consultancy, with operations across South Africa, is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join their Contamination team in Cape Town.

Responsibilities include Contamination Investigation & Remediation, Environmental Impact Assessments and the Management of the EMS Plans

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in supervision of sub-contractors and consultants essential
  • At least 5 years experience in an Contamination/Environmental Field with proven project experience in soil and groundwater sampling
  • A relevant BSc Degree
  • Knowledge / Experience in Natural Sciences & Knowledge of regulatory processes (environmental)
  • Strong report writing skills
  • A strong personality, and an ability to provide leadership to staff on site
