We are seeking an experienced Wildlife Environmental Scientist/Consultant to join our Central Qld Team based in Rockhampton.  Demonstrated wildlife management and survey experience including program development, habitat assessments, monitoring, trapping and handling are key requirements for the role. Pest animal management experience would also be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years consulting experience within the Central Qld region and the availability and  flexibility to undertake remote based projects for brief periods. Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology or a related discipline
  • Central Qld specific fauna and flora identification skills
  • Development and delivery of fauna surveys and trapping programs
  • Demonstrated best practice fauna spotter catcher methods
  • Demonstrated pest animal management such as feral pigs, dogs, cats and rabbits
  • High quality development of species management programs, proposals and technical reports
  • Demonstrated project delivery and the capacity to manage a range of projects simultaneously within scheduled timeframes and budgets and health, safety and quality requirements
  • Client relationship management skills including an aptitude for developing client-focused solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices and a willingness to promote Ecosure’s safety culture
  • Manual drivers license

  • Venomous snake handling certificate
  • Lyssavirus vaccination
  • General Safety Induction (White Card)
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Coalboard and/or Rail Medical Clearance
  • Firearm licence
