The Environmental Project Manager will work independently to manage hazardous waste and regulatory compliance projects, including site investigation and remediation projects. With the right skills, this position offers exceptional opportunity for advancement within a growing and dynamic environment.

General Responsibilities Include: 
 

  • Act as Project Manager for environmental investigations/remediation projects responsible for technical oversight and management of staff, budget, and schedule.
  • Prepare and oversee technically accurate, complete and concise work plans based on evaluation of site data needs including site-specific Health& Safety Plans, Sampling and Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans, and Investigation Derived Waste Plans
  • Convey results and findings by means of oral discussion and presentations and project documentation.
  • Evaluate, analyzes and interpret technical data relative to project-specific goals, create and interpret accurate data display graphs and figures, complete basic fate and transport analysis, and identify data gaps and data needs leading to development of Conceptual Site Models
  • Develop closure plans and implements steps to take environmental projects to closure in the most cost effective manner via traditional techniques or risk based closure options
  • Work effectively with and mentor junior geologists, scientists, and engineers  both in the office and at project field locations. 
  • Prepare proposals in response to bids/requests for proposals
  • Communicates with third party and regulatory agents regarding schedules and compliance issues
  • Utilize databases to query site information and data as well as to create historical tables and sampling reports

    The ideal candidate will possess these required skills:
  • B.S. degree in Geology or Engineering with a PG or PE and 7+ years of related experience. Experience must include hands on field and office based environmental consulting experience, as well as project management experience  with federal clients.  Project management experience with commercial/ industrial projects  is a plus. 
  • Experience with a variety of environmental contaminants (i.e. petroleum, chlorinated, metals, pesticides, PCBs)
  • Must possess excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Must be able to maintain existing client base while identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities with new clients
