The Environment Agency is responsible for protecting people from flooding. The National Environmental Assessment Service (NEAS) is the department accountable for managing the environmental impacts associated with our flood defence plans and projects. We are seeking a pro-active and forward-thinking environmental assessment practitioner to support the delivery of a wide range of flood and coastal defence schemes.
The role
The role will include co-ordinating EIAs and SEAs and managing environmental impacts during construction. Working with specialists in the Environment Agency, statutory bodies, consultants and contractors, you'll ensure that our projects have minimal environmental impact, maintain high standards in design and contribute to national environmental targets.
