Our Transportation group provides comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for airports and aviation, bridge, rail, roadway, and transit projects. Stantec's Transportation Infrastructure group provides planning and engineering services for roadway, transit, bridge, rail, airport and aviation projects. Our Hamilton office is currently seeking an Environmental Planning Student.

Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking an Environmental Planning Student to become part of a dynamic transportation group specializing in the planning and design of major provincial highways, regional and municipal arterial roads, and related local roadway projects. As the successful candidate, you will assist in providing professional services to many public and private sector clients.

Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate you are an independent worker with a general knowledge of environmental disciplines and current environmental issues, and you are familiar with Ontario Environmental Assessment processes, including the Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000). You are a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Outlook, and you have effective Internet researching skills and technical writing skills.

 

This position will be of interest to a recent graduate of an environmental science program who will be entering into a post-graduate Environmental Assessment diploma program, which may lead to a full-time position upon graduation in 2011.
