The Environmental Planning Manager will form an integral part of the technical planning team required to successfully deliver the Cypress Mine project. The Project has a high public profile and is of central importance to the Stockton Long Term Plan. Timely and quality delivery of key environmental objectives is paramount to value and reputation delivery. Additionally, the achievement of a high level of environmental performance will satisfy stakeholder expectations and contribute to achieving Solid Energy's objective of becoming a world class opencast coal mining operation. The role will also have specific responsibilities with respect to the Stockton Mine operation. The role will promote consistency and integration of standards by supporting specialist environmental areas at Stockton such as wildlife management and predator control. The role will also contribute to capacity building by including mentoring and development responsibilities for environmental and planning personnel at Stockton and within the Cypress Mine team.
