Environmental Planner

Ecology and Environment, Inc. is a fully-integrated environmental consulting firm whose underlying philosophy is its worldwide commitment to supporting sustainable development through responsible environmental stewardship.  We are seeking an Environmental Planner / Environmental Building Analyst to support our Moroccan operations.  Our successful candidate will support green real estate and green building projects and must have a good understanding of urban development and LEED standards.

 Responsibilities:

• Supporting LEED, green real estate urban development and green building projects inMorocco
• Working with inter-disciplinary teams to implement green sustainable approaches to green infrastructure, green buildings and the environment
• Technical project support and adaptation application of urban planning, environmental engineering, and/or landscape architecture methods in new construction

 Requirements:            

• BS/MS in Architecture, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in urban development, green building, and/or construction
• Fluency in technical French and English required; conversational Arabic a plus
• Knowledge and experience with LEED, BREEAM, HQE or Green Globe standards and methods
• Understanding of infrastructure engineering and familiarity with concrete aggregates, zoning plans and plants native to semi-arid climates
• Excellent self-leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and cultural sensitivity with the ability to effectively and tactfully interact with individuals
• Demonstrated ability with client relationship management and consultation
• Ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules to meet business needs
• Willingness to work internationally inMoroccofor a minimum of one year
