Environmental Operative (Waste and Resources)

The University of Bristol is looking for an enthusiastic waste and recycling operative to help the University implement a range of waste and resource management activities.

Reporting to the Environmental Supervisor and working within the waste management team, the post holder will undertake a range of tasks including weekly collections relating to recycling and reuse of materials, running the day to day operation of a furniture reuse store, monitoring waste management facilities from bin stores to composting facilities and collecting waste and environmental management data.

You will need excellent communication skills, be a team player that is able to work with staff at all levels within the University.

You will have a good general education, have a clean current driving license and some experience of driving a range of vehicles from cars up to a small lorry. Experience in waste or environmental management or similar roles is essential.

This is a permanent full time post.
