Environmental Modeller or Environmental Fate Specialist

Permanent Appointment based at Boxworth, Cambridge (or possible home based).
Salary in range £38,178 - £42,420

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our environmental risk assessment group within Cambridge Environmental Assessments (CEA). CEA, part of ADAS UK Ltd, are specialists in regulatory environmental risk assessments for chemicals, providing strategic support for product registrations across Europe. For this significant and senior post, we would consider either an established senior regulatory exposure modeller or an established senior environmental fate of chemicals specialist (both probably from the agrochemical sector).

Our Requirements
• The successful candidate will be required to develop business in higher tier risk assessment approaches to chemical regulatory problems, and manage and deliver such projects. You will significantly contribute to the CEA risk assessment problem solving team, providing innovative solutions to regulatory problems. You will also manage a team of risk assessment specialists.
• You will have a higher degree (or equivalent experience) in a numerate scientific discipline e.g. chemistry.
• Experience of computer simulation modelling and/or experience in environmental fate and behaviour of chemicals, preferably in a regulatory context.
• Good knowledge of the market for risk assessment approaches with the commercial awareness to understand and respond to evolving needs.
