Nationality/Eligibility This is a Non Reserved post and is therefore open to UK, British Commonwealth and European Economic Area (EEA) Nationals and certain non EEA members. Security Because of the nature of the work in the Ministry of Defence it may be necessary to complete Security Clearance checks on suitable applicants prior to them being offered employment in a post. This post requires Security Clearance checks. Job Description You will be required to implement and maintain a Station Environmental Management System and audit regime and to provide assistance and advice relating to environmental protection. To maintain a Station Station Health and Environment (SHE) Web-Site to enhance communication relating to all SHE matters. Attend Safety Health Environmental Protection & Sustainable Development Committee meetings and provide updates/action plans to committee members on environmental/contractor matters.To act as Duty Holder on behalf of the Station Commander in discharging his duties in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Occupiers Liability Act 1984. Skills/Personal Qualities Working Together Leadership & Developing People Communicating and Influencing Analysing and using Evidence Improvement & Change Planning and Managing Resources Accomplishments/Tests 5 GCE/GCSE passes, including 2 at A Level Grade E or above or equivalent, or NVQ Management Level 3 or Level 4, or Suitable Civil Service clerical experience. Applicants are advised that this post requires attendance to a half day Management Competency Assessment Centre as part of the recruitment process. This post is Full Time, but open to Part Time/Job Share applicants. Hours of Work: 42 including meal breaks. Salary and Allowances The full time starting salary will be £19,315.
