Job Responsibilities:

•Manage the ENVIRONMENTAL program to include routine compliance audits, completing corporate and governmental reporting requirements and ensure regulatory compliance
•Lead the implementation of ENVIRONMENTAL policies and practices
•Co-ordinate all aspects of resource use, pollution reduction and waste management, ENVIRONMENTAL health, risk assessment and employee involvement
•Train staff at all levels in ENVIRONMENTAL issues and responsibilities
•Monitor storm water and waste water discharge process and prevention activities
•Spill prevention and control
•Industrial solid waste activities
•Hazard Communication program
•Routine inspections, audits and record keeping
•Lead the site to systematically identify and comply with applicable ENVIRONMENTAL requirements
•Manage and supervisor personnel in ENVIRONMENTAL policies
•Make sure all training requirements for ENVIRONMENTAL excellence are achieved

Minimum Skills required:
•BS degree (BS/MS ENVIRONMENTAL degree preferred)
•7+ years of experience in the ENVIRONMENTAL field preferred.
•Applied knowledge of ENVIRONMENTAL laws and regulations
•Strong ENVIRONMENTAL background with demonstrated success across all ENVIRONMENTAL media
•Experience in ENVIRONMENTAL compliance at a large industrial facility, permitting air, water & solid/hazardous waste
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Good interpersonal skills
•Certification in ENVIRONMENTAL preferred
•Supervisory experience preferred
•ENVIRONMENTAL auditing preferred
•Working knowledge and experience in two or more specific ENVIRONMENTAL regulatory areas preferred
•Experience in permitting process preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
•Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personnel protective equipment
•Must be able to climb stairs in operating unit
•Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions for various periods of time
•Must be willing to work periodic work days in excess of 8 hours
