# of years of experience req:                 6 months in research field or environmental law

Duties:

Requiring limited supervision; research, analytical, and advisory duties in the area of environmental law; solve legal questions regarding accessing the carbon market. Perform policy analysis and weekly reports on the latest developments in the 7 pilot programs, focusing on China which will establish a national carbon trade market in 2017. Determine the legality of selling compliance credits on the new market; determine the legality of selling voluntary credits on non-compliance markets.  Research how to do business in RMB including, but not limited to, bank accounts versus using Paypal (or other similar tools); conversion fees; additional legal barriers; and doing business in RMB via web based sales.  The Analyst must review policy and regulation updates and analysis.

Skills required:             

Any suitable combination of education and experience is acceptable. Knowledge and experience with the following: 

·       Researching environmental law and policy in the US and foreign countries

·       Microsoft Office: word, excel, powerpoint

·       Social media: Facebook, MailChimp, infographic-making
