Environmental Field Engineer - Milieuadviseur

URS Netherlands  BV is part of URS Corporation; a leading international environmental and engineering consultancy firm employing over 45,000 employees in over 34 countries.Our Dutch office with 20 employees is located in Rijswijk (near The Hague) and provides a range of services including soil & groundwater investigations, environmental due diligence and compliance audits. Our Soil & Groundwater team URS is currently seeking a Field Engineer / Consultant. You will undertake fieldwork at a range of sites throughout the Netherlands either independently or frequently with other URS staff or contractors. Field work will be varied but will include hand augering, soil sampling and taking groundwater samples for laboratory analysis.

You will also spend time in the office, assisting project managers with their soil investigation reports and undertaking other project activities. Preparing drawings (using AutoCAD etc) is also a requirement and experience in this area would be an advantage. 

Successful candidates will have:
* A degree in a relevant discipline - i.e. Environmental Sciences, Geology, Hydrogeology
* Some experience of conducting soil and groundwater fieldwork, according to BRL 2000 * Knowledge of relevant local legislation and standards
* A VCA Certificate
* A flexible and punctual approach
* Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
* A Driving license
* Experience of AutoCAD would be very advantageous
