Responsibilities: • Lead regional/sector consultant for environmental site assessment and remediation projects for central and northern British Columbia. • Supervision of 5 or more intermediate and junior level environmental staff. • Contaminated site (soil, groundwater) project engineering and management role on a wide variety of transportation, commercial, resource industry, land development, and industrial projects in very diverse geographic conditions. • Preparation of technical proposals and reports. • Development and maintaining relationships with key clients. • Opportunity to collaborate with other AMEC offices/environmental staff on projects in Western Canadian or international locations. Qualifications: • University graduate with a directly related degree in environmental engineering, geoscience or environmental science. • Current registration or eligibility for registration as a P.Eng. or P.Geo. with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia is preferred. Those with registration as a P.Ag. or R.P.Bio. in British Columbia will also be considered. • Current listing or career track towards listing on the BC Ministry of Environment’s Roster of Approved Professionals under the contaminated sites regulations. • Minimum 7 years industry experience conducting contaminated site investigation and remediation projects. • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Federal and Provincial contaminated sites legislation, regulations and processes. • Desire to provide excellent practical client service and a commitment to technical excellence. • Demonstrated supervisory experience and hands-on training of junior personnel, experience and formal training in contaminant hydrogeology, waste management, auditing, environmental due diligence, or risk assessment would be an asset. • Strong written and oral communication (English) skills. • Valid Driver’s License.
