Due to continuing strong business growth within the Middle East, GHD is proud to be providing multi disciplinary services on many of the landmark projects within the region such as the Khalifa Stadium, City Centre, Al Bidda Tower and Dar Al Handasa in Qatar, Palm Jebel Ali, Burj Dubai and Festival City in Dubai and Al Ain University, Al Raha Gardens and Al Raha Beach Development in Abu Dhabi.
With our Middle East operations expanding due to our involvement in some of the world’s largest projects we have an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi office. This varied and challenging role has a high degree of responsibility and would suit an individual who is seeking to work in a challenging and collaborative atmosphere. 
The following will be required, however candidates who satisfy most of these requirements are still encouraged to apply.
Technical Requirements
  • Knowledge of design and construction industry standards and processes;
  • Fundamental knowledge of sustainable design strategies and practices;
  • Familiarity with green building and sustainable design resources and tools, in particular:  building energy systems, water efficiency systems, indoor environmental quality and innovation and design processes;
  • Design and cost estimation.
General
  • Job management;
  • Liaison and co-ordination of input of other GHD service lines, eg civil, planning and industrial;
  • Data collection;
  • Client regulatory authority and public interfaces
  • Tertiary qualified with minimum 6-8 years experience in environmental investigations and design for infrastructure projects;
  • Ability to identify opportunities, market to clients and win work.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and have demonstrated expertise in preparing reports and delivering presentations;
  • Experience in managing own projects cost effectively;
  • Keen to make a real contribution to the growth of our business;
  • Client problem solving focus;
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Ideally the applicants must have a degree:  BE Environmental or BE Civil.
