Description

Bore Place, an educational and environmental charity, is offering a 12-month internship funded by the Ernest Cook Trust to an individual with a passion for environmental issues at the start of their career. We are committed to support people reach their potential and offer this opportunity to provide a bespoke development programme and support to ensure at the end of your time with us you will be set up for the next step in your career.

Your primary role will be supporting our education team, researching, creating and delivering programmes of engaging events for a wide range of visitors, delivering hands-on delivery to school groups and visitors, maintaining our education and community facilities and resources, and helping to look after the education garden.

You will need a relevant degree, good work ethic, positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

In return for your commitment, we will pay you up to £10,000, you will receive 38 days paid holiday, free accommodation in a studio flat at Bore Place and be supported with a bespoke training and development programme.

You will also spend time with our Director learning the inside workings of an organisation committed to inspiring people of all ages to connect with nature and the countryside, food, farming and sustainability, and developing its own practises to demonstrate best in class environmental management. We will design your work programme with you to meet your career interests.
