Description

Sequence is currently seeking an environmental coordinator to oversee the environmental management systems, engineering and regulatory compliance for a military institution in Africa.

The ideal individual would have at least 6+ years of experience working in the military environment on environmental compliance projects. Must have a clear understanding environmental regulations, compliance procedures, reporting and making recommendations on proposed improvements to base installation infrastructure.

Responsibilities will include oversight of day-to-day compliance monitoring (air, water, soils), hazardous waste management, spill response, UST program management, and natural resources compliance. Additional responsibilities for auditing and inspection processes will be required.

Requires a degree in Environmental Engineering, Science or related discipline. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Position is based in Africa.
